New round of U.S. tariffs put major exporting countries at risk

While new tariff rates revealed August 1st vary above and below April 2nd announcement, all are still significantly higher vs. historic levels. Of note:

⏹️ 25% tariff on large exporter India (pharmaceutical impact pending sector announcement)

⏹️ Taiwan, Malaysia (e.g., computers & parts) and Switzerland’s (e.g. pharmaceuticals, watches) tariffs likely to have major impact given high value density of goods

⏹️ Ecuador’s 15% tariff impactful to price-sensitive flowers and higher than Colombia (still at 10%)

⏹️ Despite Brazil’s low value density, the 50% tariff (when sustained) is high enough to drive sourcing shifts
