Thinking of those affected by Typhoon Dolphin as it made landfall in China this week, especially our air cargo peers at Shanghai Pudong (PVG), one of the world's busiest cargo airports. Aevean's data shows international outbound cargo capacity at PVG fell 40% over August 9-10 versus the prior 2-week average.

Noteworthy shifts:
✈️ PVG accounted for ~6.6k tonnes of lost outbound capacity
✈️ SHA declined ~2.1k tonnes, a largely domestic impact
✈️ Typhoon Dolphin likely had a large impact on global capacity, with PVG and SHA declines over 50% of the global tonnage reduction vs. prior 2-week average

We monitor these and other trends continuously in our Aevean Insight dashboards. Want to better understand how disruptions like this ripple through global capacity and impact your business? Reach out to Koen Jansen, Marco Bloemen or myself for more information.
