High – tech electronics from Taiwan and Vietnam led June’s 8% YoY growth for US air imports

Tariffs continue to shift US electronics sourcing toward Southeast Asia, in June. A few key observations:

📈 US air imports rose 8% YoY in June 2025, with gains from Taiwan and Vietnam more than offsetting the drop from China

📉 China down -15% YoY (12k tonnes) with laptops, tablets & smartphones driving the decline

🚀 Taiwan up +141% and Vietnam up +98% (mainly desktop computers and laptops/tablets respectively)
