Aevean in the news!

U.S.-China air freight has dropped nearly 30% due to the end of the “de minimis” tariff exemption for low-value imports. Airlines like Cathay Pacific and Korean Air, reliant on e-commerce cargo from Shein and Temu, are seeing reduced demand.

The change has disrupted air routes and pushed more shipments to sea freight. Marco Bloemen of Aevean noted that while capacity is recovering after a temporary tariff truce, e-commerce volumes remain subdued. The long-term outlook is uncertain without a policy reversal.
